Overview: cash from crypto, no KYC, no ID at the ATM
Most cash-out paths in 2026 force you through KYC: exchange → withdraw → bank → ATM. NexasCard collapses that into a single, anonymous step. Top up with crypto, add the card to your phone's wallet, and tap to withdraw at any contactless ATM — no plastic card needed, and no identity check at the ATM beyond the standard Mastercard PIN.
This is the most efficient on-chain to physical-cash conversion that exists today. There is no exchange intermediary, no bank account in the loop, no KYC at the on-ramp, no settlement delay. Crypto in, cash out, in minutes.
How NexasCard ATM withdrawals work
- Add NexasCard to Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay — takes 30 seconds
- Find an ATM that supports contactless (NFC) Mastercard withdrawals
- Tap your phone (or smartwatch) on the contactless reader
- Enter the card PIN issued with your card
- Withdraw up to $500/day at 0% NFC fee from our side

Limits and fees
Daily ATM withdrawal limit is $500 USD-equivalent. There are no per-transaction caps below that ceiling. NexasCard charges 0% on NFC ATM withdrawals. The ATM operator may charge their own small surcharge — that fee is set by the bank that owns the machine and is unavoidable on any card from any issuer.
Fee comparison vs other cards
- NexasCard: 0% from issuer + ATM operator surcharge (typically $0-5)
- Most retail bank cards: $2.50-5 issuer fee + ATM operator surcharge
- Gemini / Coinbase cards: ~$2.50-3 + ATM operator surcharge
- Crypto cards with KYC: typically $1.80-3 + ATM operator surcharge
Where NFC ATM withdrawals are supported
Most modern ATM networks support contactless Mastercard withdrawals as standard. Look for the contactless symbol on the ATM. In some regions where contactless ATMs are still rare, you can still spend the card at any merchant — but for cash specifically you need an NFC-capable ATM.
Regions with widespread contactless ATM coverage
- Western & Northern Europe — near-universal contactless ATM coverage
- United Kingdom — most ATMs support contactless
- Australia & New Zealand — modern ATMs are contactless by default
- Canada — major bank networks all support NFC
- Most of South America — São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Lima have wide coverage
- Middle East — UAE and Saudi Arabia have excellent contactless coverage
- Southeast Asia — Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila widely supported
- Most of East Asia — Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong widely supported
Regions where contactless ATM coverage is improving but spotty
- United States — coverage growing, especially with Chase and Wells Fargo
- India — major metros have it, smaller cities still limited
- Africa — South Africa good, other regions varied
- Eastern Europe — varies by country and city
ATM withdrawal privacy
Because the card itself is anonymous (no KYC), the ATM transaction is not tied to your legal identity at the card-issuance level. It is, of course, recorded by the ATM operator's CCTV and the local bank's ledger — no card can change those physical-world realities. For best privacy: fund the card with Monero, and withdraw at busy ATMs in dense urban areas where individual cardholders are not personally tracked.
Practical privacy tips for ATM cash withdrawal
- Use ATMs inside busy commercial venues (malls, airports, train stations)
- Avoid bank-branch ATMs that may have higher CCTV resolution
- Withdraw moderate amounts (~$200-300) rather than maxing the limit
- Vary the ATMs you use across visits
- Use a phone wallet rather than card details typed at a kiosk
- Fund the card with Monero if on-chain anonymity is required
Troubleshooting common ATM issues
The ATM declined the transaction
Check that the ATM supports contactless and that your daily limit of $500 has not been hit. Some ATM operators set their own minimum or maximum amount per transaction — try a slightly larger or smaller amount. Some ATMs require a chip-and-PIN dip even when they have a contactless reader.
The ATM doesn't have a contactless reader
Find a different ATM. Most major bank ATMs (BBVA, Santander, ING, HSBC, Chase, Wells Fargo, Standard Chartered, DBS, OCBC) have rolled out contactless. Look for the four-arc symbol on the machine.
Apple Pay / Google Pay won't add my card
Re-enter the card details exactly as issued in your activation email. If your phone's wallet rejects the card, restart the device and try again — wallet provisioning is occasionally rate-limited by Apple/Google.
I forgot the card PIN
Contact 24/7 support; PIN reset is usually completed in under an hour. Do not attempt to brute-force at the ATM — most networks freeze the card after 3 failed attempts.
The ATM dispensed less than I requested
This is rare but happens with old machines. Take a photo of the ATM screen, the receipt, and contact 24/7 support immediately. The transaction is reconciled against the bank's ledger and any discrepancy is refunded.
Alternatives if your local ATMs don't support contactless
Spend the card directly at merchants — every Mastercard-accepting store, restaurant, hotel and online retailer takes the card the same way as a bank-issued debit card. For cash-equivalent value, many countries have grocery store cashback at point-of-sale checkout that works with any Mastercard.
Cash-equivalent options without an NFC ATM
- Grocery store cashback at point-of-sale (US, UK, Australia common)
- Gas station cashback in select regions
- Western Union / MoneyGram funded by NexasCard purchase
- Buy a prepaid voucher in cash from a local convenience store using NexasCard
Best practices for cash withdrawal travelers
- Add the card to all three wallets (Apple, Google, Samsung) before leaving home
- Memorize the card PIN before travel; do not store it on the phone
- Pre-fund the card with at least 2-3x your daily expected cash needs
- Keep a backup card (different brand) for the rare ATM that does not accept contactless
- Test the card at home with a small withdrawal before travel
- Avoid airport ATMs with high markup fees; use city-center ATMs
Country-by-country tips for ATM cash withdrawal
European Union
Near-universal contactless ATM coverage. Avoid Euronet ATMs (high markup); prefer Santander, BBVA, ING, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole. Daily $500 cap is comfortably below the typical EU limit of €1,000.
United Kingdom
HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds, NatWest all support contactless. LINK network ATMs generally work. Test with a small £20 withdrawal first time.
Southeast Asia
Singapore (DBS, OCBC, UOB) — universal. Bangkok and KL — major bank ATMs work, smaller kiosk machines may not. Prefer mall ATMs over street kiosks.
Latin America
Brazil (Itaú, Bradesco, Santander) — wide coverage. Argentina and Chile — improving but check before relying on it. Mexico — major banks fine, smaller networks variable.
Middle East
UAE (ADCB, Emirates NBD, FAB) — excellent contactless. Saudi Arabia and Qatar — major networks supported. Prefer city-center ATMs over airport ATMs.
What to do if no contactless ATM is available
In some regions contactless ATMs are still rare. The fastest cash-equivalent paths are merchant cashback at point-of-sale, money-transfer services funded by NexasCard, and prepaid voucher purchases at convenience stores.
- Grocery store cashback at POS (US, UK, AU, NZ — works on any Mastercard)
- Western Union or MoneyGram funded with NexasCard, withdrawn in cash at the destination
- Buy a prepaid retail voucher (Amazon, Apple, Steam) and resell at small discount via a P2P market
- Pay a trusted local in NexasCard for cash on hand — moderate amounts, never large
